    The Oswald Band

Steph found this poster and purchased it when we were in Galena. It is now framed and hanging on my wall.

Some of you may have already seen this, but it is quite possibly the funniest thing I have seen in years.

I've also discovered the podcasts available at RickyGervais.com. Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant from The Office just ramble on and it's hysterical. It actually just entered the Guiness Book of World Records for most downloaded program. I added a link to the right so give it a listen and see what you think!

    A Midsummer Night in Galena

Well, in an attempt to keep this rejuvenating theatre thing going, I was cast in the next Prenzie Players show. A Midsummer Night's Dream shall be hitting the Q.C. at the end of March/early April and should be a fun time. Steph and I are cast opposite each other so it should be an interesting time. The line load is freakin' HUGE, which has me a bit nervous, but so goes life in the theatre. Just suck it up and do it.

A co-worker of mine has got me hooked on an amazing vocalist that was very popular in the 60's. her name is Miriam Makeba and she's known as "Mama Africa" in musical circles. Her stylings are very unique and it's rather infectuous once you listen to it. I highly recommend checking out her albums "Pata Pata" and "Makeba!" whenever you get the chance. Download it from iTunes, LimeWire or what have you and let me know what you think of her (the album to the right is her greatest hits album, which I have yet to listen to).

We also finally got the new ComedySportz Quad Cities website up and going (check the link out under The Funny section to the right). My friend Nate did an amazing job on the design and we collaborated on all the content. We're not even close to being done yet as there's still a few pages left to build, which should happen over the next week or so. I welcome any and all feedback, be it positive or constructive.

Pete. Dude. What's up with Feel Me Don't You? Drop me a line or something and let me know what's up, o.k.? You're scaring the children...

Oh, and before I forget, Underworld: Evolution was great. Not quite everything I was hoping it would be, but definately enough to keep me happy. This one also ended with an opening to make it a trilogy and I do hope that happens.

This weekend, the CSz'ers are heading to Galena for a Valentine's Day Weekend show at the Eagle's Crest Resort & Spa. The best part? We get to bring our significant others and we're all getting rooms at the resort as part of our payment. So, needless to say, we're going to try to take advantage of a relaxing weekend at a spa - something I've never gotten the opportunity to do before. I've never been a "spa" person, per se, b/c I always like giving massages rather than receving them so this should be an interesting experience.

I hope you all have a great weekend and are laughing as hard at the American Idol contestants as we are.

    Seacrest out.
